Appreciating People use techniques such as appreciative inquiry to get people talking, involved, animated, innovative and interested; and use that as a catalyst for generating ideas, facilitating change and building strengths. We work alongside a broad range of public and private sector businesses, agencies, community and voluntary groups, nationally and internationally, building team strengths and sustainable organisational development.
We use a range of techniques and systems – including Appreciative Inquiry, World Café, AI summits and Open Space (OST) – to help discover an individual or organisation’s strengths, which we use as the starting point for future development or change.
‘There is no more powerful way to initiate significant change than to convene a conversation’
Margaret Wheatley
Broadly speaking, our work divides into two key areas: community and organisational development; and providing appreciative inquiry training and facilitation.
We provide a range of services, covering organisational development, change management, in-house AI training, HR support, staff resilience, large group events, support for creative organisations, strategic planning, team building and staff wellbeing. In our community arm, our work includes work with recovering addicts, appreciative living, community engagement, visual minuting and The Work of Byron Katie. We’ve also linked them to a range of case studies, so you can see how we work in practise.
