Appreciating People is to sponsor a Positive Psychology at Work lecture for Global entrepreneurship Week in November, with a keynote lecture by psychologist and AI practitioner Sarah Lewis on How Positive Psychology and Appreciative Inquiry support wellbeing, resilience and entrepreneurship. She will speak at Liverpool Hope University on Wednesday 16 November as part of Entrepreneurship Week and Liverpool’s Decade of Health and Wellbeing. The USA’s Corporate Leadership Council estimates that: ‘Companies and organisations that focus on working from strengths and foster entrepreneurship are more resilient and successful. Research by the USA Corporate Leadership Council shows that focusing on performance strengths and positivity increases performance by 36.4% while focusing on performance weaknesses made performance decline by 26.8%.‘ The keynote lecture is also sponsored by Liverpool Vision, the Federation of Small Businesses and Liverpool Citizens Ltd.
