AW hosts Positive Transitions workshop

Picture 17AP’s sister company, social enterprise Appreciation Works, is hosting a full-day workshop session for women in North Liverpool to find their strengths and create positive change.

The day, called Positive Transitions: Reflect and Renew, will be held at North Liverpool’s Anfield and Breckside Community Corner (ABCC) on June 7, from 9:30-3pm.

Participants will learn be encouraged to:
Dare to trust in yourself…invest in yourself…access your potential

The course runs alongside work AP is doing in Anfield, empowering residents in the area to get involved in positive change, and build resilience amongst the community. Only 20 places are available on this one-day course, for women who want to explore change and a new direction, and:
• Reflect
• Review
• Relax
• Re-vision

The day will give you time to:
• Reflect on what you do really well and what you enjoy
• Explore what path your future could take, fulfilling your dreams and aspirations, unlimited by fears and beliefs
• Create a new vision for yourself; draw on your strengths, life experience, and values
• Learn some tools that you can use when you want to

Our team of experiences facilitators will help you identify and build on your strengths. We’ll facilitate a process that will help you build your personal resilience and sense of empowerment to become more able to develop personal goals guiding you in facing the challenge of considering:

• making a life change
• taking a new direction in employment
• training
• volunteer work in the community
• engaging more in community matters
• Want to feel more connected?

The day will be facilitated by skilled trainers and coaches who’ll introduce you to a number of useful approaches to reviewing and reflecting on your life and direction:

Helen Bush
Helen is a director of Appreciation Works CIC and Senior Associate with AP. She is an Appreciative Inquiry practitioner delivering strength-based personal development, organisational development and strategic planning facilitation and training. She is a trained coach and business mentor. Helen works with organisations and individuals in the public, corporate, community and social enterprise sectors.

Julie Hanna
Julie is an independent health practitioner. She started changeintheweather to deliver strength-based approaches for people facing challenges and change. Julie works as a counsellor, as a researcher and evaluator and offers training and facilitation. She is trained in Appreciative Inquiry and mindfulness approaches. She works with health, education, community, faith and the cultural sectors.
