Our Introduction to Appreciative Inquiry IAAI – module one is a practical two-day AI course covering the principles and AI tools. Open to individuals, it will run across two days – Sept 9 & 10 – in central London
Cost: £360pp (early bird (£330) – 6 places remaining (max. group size is 16 people)
Are you passionate about getting the best out of yourself and others? Ready and willing to think differently and pose new questions?
This course covers the philosophy which underpins Appreciative inquiry (AI), the framework for applying it, and the value of working from strengths and assets. It offers tools to lift people’s mood, to build connections, and to creatively imagine a better future.
It is experiential, interactive and fun – reflective and deeply practical.
Instead of focusing on problems or what is wrong, you are invited to ask what is working, to amplify successes, and focus your ‘appreciative lens’. AI is a unique positive development tool supporting change, resilience and creativity. The course draws on new learning/research in positive psychology, and includes appreciative approaches to supervision.
The cost includes includes a copy of our publications Taste of AI and Reflections.
We have trained over 2,000 people in the last ten years in organisations and communities, and have many examples of application. This is an opportunity for individuals to attend one of our courses and to learn about our UK case studies.
Suzanne Quinney, who will be leading the training, says: “I’m very excited to be training face to face with a group of people in this beautiful London space, on the bank of the Grand Union Canal at Little Venice. Being hosted by our friends at the Centre for Supervision and Team Development is an extra bonus – I’m looking forward to meeting all of our participants.”

We have delivered courses on line for staff in Blackpool council, for safeguarding staff in Northumberland, for postgraduate medical staff in a NW hospital, and Leeds Childrens Hospital – who awarded us a GREATIX.
