Our Introduction to Appreciative Inquiry IAAI – module one is a practical two-day Appreciative Inquiry course providing a taste of AI, covering the principles, tools and reflections. Open to individuals, it will run from Saturday, 19 July (starting from 9am) to Sunday, 20 July at the SunShine room, East Whins, The Park, in Findhorn (IV36 3TH).

Are you passionate about getting the best out of yourself and others? Ready and willing to think differently and pose new questions?
This course introduces you to the key tools of Appreciative Inquiry (AI), covers the philosophy which underpins it, the framework for applying it, and the value of working from strengths & assets. It offers tools to lift people’s moods, to build connections, and to creatively imagine a better future.
It is experiential, interactive and fun – reflective and deeply practical.
Instead of focusing on problems or what is wrong, you are invited to ask what is working, to amplify successes, and focus your “appreciative lens”. Appreciative Inquiry is a unique relational positive development tool supporting change, resilience and creativity. The course draws on new learning/research in positive psychology, and includes appreciative approaches to supervision.
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” – Marcel Proust.
This course is part of a certificated programme, and includes two free resources, Taste of AI and Reflections. Participants will be eligible to continue with module 2 online.

We have trained over 2,000 people in the last 15 years in organisations & communities and have many examples of application. This is an opportunity for individuals to attend one of our courses and learn about our UK case studies. Individuals are also encouraged to bring a practical example where they’d like to apply it – there will be time during the course to develop their approach.
A previous course participant says: “In this opportunity to create new versions of the truth and see new opportunities, we can maximise our own and others’ potential. We can create space for us to grow into our best selves.” You can read her full blog here.
To book and pay, please get in touch with Suzanna Quinney of Appreciating People, who will be facilitating and leading the training, at suzanne@appreciatingpeople.co.uk or 07940 726067.
