AP hosts successful Enterprise Week lecture

The Positive Psychology at Work lecture team, around Sarah Lewis (centre)

Appreciating People has successfully completed its inaugural High Impact Event for Global Entrepreneurship Week, at Hope University.

Over 100 people attended the lecture, on Positive Psychology at Work –  participants enjoyed the content so much that they bought every signed copy of the two books Sarah had brought with her: Appreciative Inquiry for Change Management: Using AI to facilitate Organisational Development by Sarah Lewis, Jonathon Passmore and Stefan Cantore, and Positive Psychology at Work : How positive leadership and Appreciative Inquiry Create Inspiring Organisations by Sarah Lewis.

Appreciating People worked alongside the Federation of Small Businesses and Liverpool Vision in hosting the event. The FSB’s development manager Neil Dutton said, ‘The FSB was delighted to be involved in this High Impact event. It was a great way to launch our Real Life Entrepreneurs campaign showcasing FSB services and support, and it was good to see a good number of FSB members amongst those attending on the night. The lecture was thought-provoking and valuable. Our thanks to Sarah for taking the time to be with us.’

After the lecture, Sarah joined students the following day for a lecture on AI. AP is launching a course with Hope to train students in Appreciative Inquiry and other strength-based disciplines from 2012, and we’ll update the website with more details as soon as we release them.
